Shedding Light on LED for Industry
LED lighting is becoming very common in office and industrial applications. This article, titled Shedding Light on LED for Industry, describes how industrial applications can benefit from LEDs’ energy efficiency; minimal environmental footprint; and long, reliable operation, even under extreme conditions.
Energy Efficient Lighting State and Federal Rebates
Within specific criteria determined by the US Government and State Utility Rebate programs, significant savings applicable to the total ROI for lighting retrofits or new construction are readily available and VeraLED is here to help.
On October 3, 2008 the federal tax incentives for making a commercial building more efficient were extended as part of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. That means the Energy Policy Act of 2005, (EPAct 2005) has been extended for another five years to December 31, 2013.
EPAct promotes energy-efficiency and conservation by providing attractive tax incentives in the form of accelerated depreciation of assets. According to the National Lighting Bureau, “the Commercial Building Tax Deduction encourages specification of high-efficiency lighting by giving owners an accelerated-depreciation benefit equal to the cost of the lighting system or lighting-system improvement, or $0.60/square foot, whichever is less.”
In conjunction with strategic partners, we have the resources to assist in performing the required Audits covering both State Utility and EPAct rebates/incentives.
